Crawler’s Corner
at MOXI
Crawler’s Corner is a toddler focused climbing structure and exhibit space at MOXI, the Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation developed by Process Curiosity. This project was part of a larger refresh of experiences including all three floors of the museum.
Crawler’s Corner is a climbing and crawling structure that takes inspiration from nature’s many shapes, colors, and patterns. It also includes multiple environmental elements and experiences that provide moments of interaction and context for the visitors about the geometry and math of nature. This experience helps develop gross motor skills and cognitive abilities in a safe environment for the museum’s youngest visitors.
I was a designer for Process Curiosity on this project in collaboration with members of MOXI.
I worked directly with MOXI in developing the Crawler’s Corner starting with exhibit planning and conceptual design, leading to circulation planning, 3D modeling, and schematic design. This process included the design of the climbing/crawling structure, exhibit interactives, environmental elements, and seating.
