The Wonder Wing

at XNA Airport

The Wonder Wing is a children’s space in the XNA Airport designed and developed by the Scott Family Amazeum in collaboration with Process Curiosity. This project was part of a larger XNA Airport renovation.

The Wonder Wing invites travelers to rest, relax, and explore. This space includes multiple experiences designed around aviation, both in the air and on the ground, as well as multiple beloved exhibits donated by the Scott Family Amazeum. The space also features an air traffic control tower climber that allows travelers to take on the role of an air traffic controller while learning about aviation.

I was the lead designer for Process Curiosity on this project in collaboration with members of the Scott Family Amazeum, Nabholz Construction, and Hight Jackson Associates.

I worked directly with the Scott Family Amazeum in the development of the Wonder Wing, including exhibit planning and ideation, conceptual design, circulation planning, 3D modeling, and schematic design. This process included the design of the air traffic control tower climber, toddler crawler area, and the ideation of multiple exhibits to be further developed by the Scott Family Amazeum.
